EgyptAlmost if not all aspects if ancient Egyptians lives were influenced by their myths and stories. With the creation of the earth and the Gods that sustain that world, it had significant impact on their culture, religion, and government.
Mythology was inspired by the cycles of nature-the rising & setting of the suns and the flooding & receding of the Nile. ' Some of the most significant concepts were based on their mythology like the concepts of creation and the development of an afterlife, benevolent deities, and re carnation. Religion The mythology and religion of the ancient Egyptians were expressions of the sacred meanings that they experieced within the universe and its regularly recurring rhythms in both nature and the political order. Myths Egyptian mythology came around in 4000 BCE and lasted to 30 CE with the death of Cleopatra VII. The Mythology lasted throughout the old Kingdom, middle Kingdom, and the New Kingdom. |
