Creation
How the world came to be *MythIn most ancient mythology there is a story or tale that tells its followers their place in the cosmos, Egyptian Mythology isn't excluded from this tradition. Their understanding comes from the order of nature. Therefore their creation myths concern themselves with gods of nature; the earth, the sky, the sun, the moon, the stars, and of course, the Nile river.

Summary:
In the beginning of time there was only watery chaos, called Nu. Atum, the sun god of the city of Heliopolis rose up from the Chaotic waters with his thoughts and will. Having no where to stand with eternal water, he created a hill. On this first dry hilltop, on the first day came the first sunrise. So that is how the Egyptians explain the beginning of all things.
